World’s Most Prestigious Hurricane Protection Association Recognizes One Mexican Company, “Hurricane Solution”, For Membership
• For the third consecutive year, The International Hurricane Protection Association (IHPA) has recognized a single company in Mexico as meeting the quality and standards for membership in its exclusive body.
• This is measured by incorporating ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials standards, and an analysis of how the systems performed in actual storms and hurricanes.
• Mexico and the Caribbean have long been behind in protection aspects common in places like Florida, which mitigate damage during storms. It is hoped that this recognition will begin the process of promoting a culture of protection that will ultimately protect both lives and jobs.

As part of its commitment to the IHPA, Hurricane Solution seeks to promote a culture of prevention of the damages associated with hurricanes, and shares recommendations for action in
accordance with the hurricane season, which begins in May. “In Mexico, especially in the Caribbean, which is a hurricane risk zone, there is a real need for a culture of prevention. Sadly the culture is one where people only seem to think about protection when the storm is bearing down on them and it is already too late.
