Some of the major topics of discussion at the conference included, how to capture long-term value in crypto finance; what is the state of blockchain and digital assets today; the future with the decentralized monetary system; blockchain and its impact on business and investing; metaverse; unleashing the power of DeFi in the real-world; accelerating the adoption of digital currencies; and much more.

Navin Gupta, Managing Director of Ripple for South Asia and MENA Region, focused on the ‘Future of Payments’ during his keynote. He gave an overview of the current payment business system and compared it with the future payment system that’s going to come with the ongoing tech disruption. He said, “Companies will be able to accomplish greater output and growth by increasing the velocity of money, and blockchain will assist businesses in executing that.”

“With the current NFT boom, I like to refer to NFTs and DeFi as the trojan horse of the crypto industry for the real-world adoption. The speed at which the brands and institutions we are currently onboarding is absolutely phenomenal,” stated Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder, Polygon.

“There will be winners and losers in the race to adopt blockchain technology; countries that rely on traditional space will miss out on many opportunities, while countries with a strong presence in new technologies will be able to wield far more power as a result of the rapid adoption of blockchain technology,” stated Omar Rahim, MENA Director, Binance.

The objective of #WBSDubai 2021 was manifold – to provide a platform to amalgamate ideas with creativity, brainstorm, develop action plans, groom startups and lead projects that have the potential to become popular brands in the crypto world.

The event recognized Amber Group as the Crypto Finance Service Provider of the year 2021; Revuto as the Fastest Growing Consumer Product in Crypto of the year 2021 and Luna PR as the Best Crypto PR Firm of the year 2021.

Blockchain and crypto tech is no longer an obscure tech bubble. It’s becoming a mainstream tech world, and the tech industry is exploring the tech in all directions. So, what does all this mean for blockchain and crypto tech in the future? The tech world is in a constant state of evolution and disruption. Even amid this tech boom, we don’t know what tomorrow holds. But we do know that blockchain and crypto tech is poised to take on a much larger role in our lives, and we hope that the World Blockchain Summit has helped our guests with the resources and partnerships they need to understand the technology better.”
