Empress Jets announces the launch of the First NFT Private Jet Charter Marketplace and Membership Club During Miami Art Week.

Miami, Florida, 22 Dec 2021, ZEXPRWIRE, Art Basel is one of the busiest private aviation events of the year with hundreds of private aircraft arriving each day. Kicking off the festivities at the Opa-Locka Miami Executive airport was Empress Jets with Crypto Runway. The world-class private jet terminal was transformed into an NFT dreamscape to celebrate the announcement of Empress Jets’ new NFT jet charter marketplace and members-only club on the blockchain. Some of the highlights included live music, art, VR Metaverse experience, exotic cars, fashion show, and crypto
speaker series. The event quickly gained the reputation of being this year’s premier kickoff party with an exclusive guest list composed of ultra-high net worth individuals and influencers including private jet owners, charter clients, artists, art collectors, socialites, crypto
enthusiasts, and tech magnates.

Empress is revolutionizing private aviation by becoming the first company to utilize NFT technology for jet charter flights and jet club membership. Memberships are minted as NFTs and members load their account with crypto or cash to pay for future flights. The Empress Charter Marketplace empowers aircraft owners, operators and brokers to tokenize verified charter flights, similar to the way that artists ‘mint’ their art as NFTs. The flights may then be offered at auction exclusively to Empress members and members themselves can also resell flights or seats on their booked trips to other members.

The Empress platform and metaverse will be launching in Q1 2022. In the meantime, Empress offers on-demand jet charter services that can have you “wheels up” in as few as four hours. They are currently accepting crypto, credit cards, and wire transfers as payments. Clients who book flights now will be given the opportunity to apply for early membership to the Empress Club and commence the pre-approval process.  The Empress Metaverse, built-in collaboration with XR Labs and LiLa Studios was also unveiled at Crypto Runway. In the Metaverse, members will interact with one another and experience live events in different virtual worlds beginning with Crypto Runway which includes an interactive airport, active runway, and immersive virtual experience onboard real-world jets.

Crypto Runway’s Bubbles & Brunch Vernissage took place on Sunday, November 28th. As guests stepped off their private jets, they were greeted with libations by Moët Hennesy, Ruinart, Campari, Aperol Spritz, Hendricks, Glenfiddich, Chido, and Beluga, thanks to
Executive Retail Shops and Liquor Split. Sunday’s Vernissage included live jazz by Lemon City Trio and artist meet and greets with Tran$parent, Max Steiner, Arthur J. Williams, with curation by Cube Art Fair and Joubert Art Collective.

Closing Sunday’s event was the show-stopping “Runway on the Runway” Fashion show hosted by Planet Fashion featuring dazzling gowns by Gianinna Azar. Adding to the excitement of the show, the iconic Playboy Bunny Jet known as Big Bunny landed and surprised onlookers as models strutted down the catwalk. Keeping in theme with the event, Planet Fashion launched their own NFT on Rarible which includes a luxury travel package to the Monaco Grand Prix and Monaco Swim week on a private jet provided by Empress Jets and hotel accommodations at The Fairmont Monte Carlo.

On Monday, November 29th Empress Jets held their Crypto Symposium at Miami Supercar Rooms in Wynwood. The first panel of the day, The Future of NFTs, packed a punch with speakers that included Rarible CEO, Alexei Falin, Polygon’s Masha Prusso, Doodles founder, Evan Keast, Beeple’s first art curator Annie Phillips, singer-songwriter, Dyl , renowned artist, Arthur J. Williams, Regina Sonray of World Art Poetry, and Jerad Fink, CEO of Cosmic Wire.

Source Protocol’s founding team ended the event series with their own panel speaking on The Future of DeFi and announced their automated, multi-chain DeFi ecosystem for crypto borrowing, lending and staking. Other panel topics included emerging trends in the blockchain and crypto, Building an open Metaverse – Innovations and Collaborations, and Tokenization of the real-world assets: Pros/Cons. Crypto Runway was a marathon event series that stayed true to its promise as a celebration of art, wealth, and private aviation on the
