Waterbury, CT Coating Manufacturer Expands Services With Acquisition
Waterbury, Connecticut, 18th Feb 2022, ZEXPRWIRE, Precision Dip Coating, a leading manufacturer in the coating and molding services industry, has acquired Steel Products Corp. of Massachusetts. For over 50 years, SPC supplied custom-coated handles and slide-on grips for valve handle manufacturers and the owners are retiring after the sale.
Known for their own custom-built machinery, Precision Dip Coating has added two SPC machines and support equipment specific to molding valve handle grips and covers to their recently-expanded facility located at 176 Chase River Road in Waterbury. The engineers at PDC are updating the machines with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and new electronic controls to improve efficiency and reliability. PDC will continue to service any SPC customers in need of valve handle coating as well as increase capacity of their screen printing and vinyl (Plastisol) molding services with the addition of the upgraded SPC equipment.
Precision Dip Coating prides itself on offering in-house design and development with zero outsourcing. “With the addition of the equipment from SPC, new equipment being built by PDC, and more equipment being brought over from another competitor, PDC will be a true full-service custom coating company,” said owner Gary Santoro. “Coinciding with our physical plant expansion, we are able to increase the capacity and services that we offer to our customers.”
