Ranchi based Cloud Kitchen startup RoboFood crosses Rs 1 crore in sales
Ranchi, Jharkhand, 2nd December 2022, ZEXPRWIRE, Ranchi-based RoboFood, an AI-enabled smart cloud kitchen startup, has crossed Rs 1 crore in revenue till November 2022. Founded in 2020 by Adid Khan, the startup is developing an automated kitchen to prepare and deliver food in bulk through online channels. The company claims that it has served around 50,000 orders already.
The company operates multiple brands like Yo Shawarma, Louisville Chicken, Rolltastic, Krushed, Cake on Wheels, Biryani Bandit, Uncle Maos, El Taco and Paratha Mafia. RoboFood is actively working towards adding new brands to serve more cuisines.
The startup’s primary focus is to create a food ordering ecosystem for customers where a customer can fulfil his food journey i.e from breakfast to lunch and from single orders to party orders through a single platform.
The beta version of RoboFood app is being tested. However, the customers have the option to order through RoboFood’s website. A customer can order food from multiple brands i.e multi-cuisine at once and all the dishes are delivered to the customer at once.
The startup is bootstrapping and investing in its technology stack to improve order preparation time and methods. The startup claims to prepare an order in less than 10 minutes and is continuously improving to reduce delivery timings using machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The startup operates on a central-child kitchen model which enables it to quickly deliver orders to end customers. It aims to expand to neighbouring cities like Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Patna, Kolkata, and Raipur in the next 2-3 years.
When asked about the future plans, co-founder and CEO Adid Khan says,” We have started in a small city. However, we are getting amazing responses till now. We plan to scale the number of our child kitchens in Ranchi. We are working swiftly to launch our own delivery fleet and guarantee 30 minutes delivery to our customers.”
Adid Khan has worked as an independent consultant for various companies like Rapido, Gionee, Samsung, Turtle, BMW, and several others.
He has more than 5 years of experience in business consulting, digital marketing and media industry and has previously founded a media startup Startup Wonders that focuses on entrepreneurship and startup culture in India.
RoboFood is in talks with several angel investors to raise $1 mn in the next 6 months. The funds will be utilised towards marketing and hiring tech employees. It aims to shift to a franchise model for quick expansion.
Moreover, the startup is working towards developing food preparation robots to eliminate human error and interference to improve consistency and hygiene.
According to industry experts, the Indian food service delivery market is expected to double in value to $13 billion by 2025 and cloud kitchens are set to be a $2 billion industry in India by 2024, up from $400 million in 2019.
