The Senior Company recently partnered with NJ Gourmet to donate 50 meals to Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. NJ Gourmet individually prepared all of the meals to ensure safety. The two organizations worked together previously to send meals to the assisted living facilities The Senior Company helps staff.

“I partnered with The Senior Company because I knew they would support my efforts and share my vision. They went above and beyond,” said Mychal Rivera, Owner and Founder of NJ Gourmet.

Driven by a passion to help seniors maintain their independence for as long as possible, The Senior Company offers part-time care, live-in care, temporary care and permanent care. The company goes above and beyond to deliver world-class care. This includes creating a customized plan for every single patient. These plans are carefully reviewed to facilitate a comfortable and positive transition into the company’s services.

The Senior Company hires licensed, highly experienced, skilled and compassionate nurses to care for seniors. NJ Gourmet is a gourmet food service that specializes in meal prep and catering. The company’s meal preparation menu is designed to make high-quality, ready-made meals available to the public. Every menu item is made from scratch and prepared using original recipes. No shortcuts are taken.

NJ Gourmet uses grade-A ingredients with culinary precision to create delicious and healthy meals. The company does not use additives or preservatives. Meals are delivered fresh to each customer’s doorstep every week and last for five to seven days when stored in the refrigerator.

“I realized how fortunate I was to be a young business owner who is able to keep their business open during this difficult time. I kept hearing stories about unemployment, hospitals that were understaffed, restaurants closing and I wanted to get involved. My cousin works in the emergency room, my friend works in the administration department, and I have customers that work at Holy Name Hospital. Donating meals to the hospital was the right thing to do,” Rivera said.

“The Senior Company and NJ Gourmet are proud to partner in supporting and donating meals to essential workers during this horrific pandemic. We realize how difficult their jobs are in good times and bad. We support them during both, especially the difficult times. The Senior Company and NJ Gourmet support these courageous folks now more than ever and will continue to do so beyond the pandemic. Thank you to all of the essential workers!” said Andre Bolukbas, Director of Client Relations at The Senior Company.
