Asian-Canadian Actor Chase Tang Shows Support For Simu Liu Marvel’s First Asian Superhero
Los Angeles, California, USA, December 23, 2020, ZEXPRWIRE, Over the weekend, trade publications reported that Liu had signed on to work with Wahlberg on a new adventure movie, Arthur the King. Many commenters criticized Liu, who previously spoke out against Wahlberg in a 2018 tweet for the assaults he committed against two Vietnamese men in 1988. When Wahlberg was 16, he was convicted as an adult of assault and other charges stemming from a convenience store robbery. He was sentenced to three months in jail but was released after serving about 45 days.
Tang took to social media and publicly defended Liu and justified his actions but stating he empathizes with Liu being in a difficult and tough position.

Tang and Liu are both Asian-Canadian Actors who both started their careers out of Toronto. Liu who is a veteran and has a more established career came on to the spotlight around 2016 after the success of Kim’s Convenience. Tang, a newcomer to the entertainment industry took his first acting class in May 2016 after leaving the corporate world, caught his break after booking a major Villainous role from the upcoming Netflix Series Jupiter’s Legacy slated to release in 2021.
