K-Rahn Vallatine Returns To University Of Southern California Using His Book To Empower Future Practitioners

K-Rahn Vallatine is returning to the University of Southern California for his 6th visit to lecture on his book titled “Beyond the Crack Generation: Surviving a Trauma Organized Culture.”

California, US, 14th September 2021, ZEXPRWIRE K-Rahn Vallatine, one of America’s celebrated authors, is returning to the University of Southern California for his 6th visit on September 29th. The event, which is based on his book titled “Beyond the Crack Generation: Surviving a Trauma Organized Culture,” will commence from 4:00 PST. Some parts of his lecture will be streamed live on leading social media platforms.

With this book, K-Rahn is empowering future social workers, educators, and other youth service providers across the country with his livid lived experience and powerful professional background. Beyond the Crack Generation: Surviving A Trauma Organized Culture takes readers on an autobiographical journey to explain how dysfunctional, counterproductive behavior became a cultural norm for prosperity and survival among youth.

The book sheds light on the plight faced by the urban Americans and those affected by drugs and violence. Along with offering the details of the problems the youth face, it also talks of solutions that can help youth get out of this troubling cycle.

Dr. Robert Hernandez from the University of Southern California Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work says “K-Rahn speaks to this area in a way that incorporates the informed evidence from life experience but couples it with data and literature and the research needed to further amplify this area of need. It is my humble hope that you will read this book with an open heart and an open mind and join this leaders crusade to uplift young people. Because in empowering them, we are also empowering ourselves.”

Kevin Powell, the author of The Education of Kevin Powell: A Boy’s Journey into Manhood, adds, “K-Rahn Vallatine is one of Americas unsung leaders and heroes. I have long admired his work with young people in his native Southern California community and nationwide communities. Beyond the Crack Generation: Surviving A Trauma Organized Culture, is so critical and so necessary. K-Rahn weaves his autobiography with the biography of generations of urban American people who have been devastated by drugs and violence. Equally important are the action steps, the solutions, and that is where his visionary voice is the loudest, not only highlighting the hardships and challenges but a way forward, a way out.”

This trailblazing book is set to take readers on a raw and uncut quest of self-reflection while delivering the solution-based lens needed to reclaim and help heal much of today’s disengaged youth.

Beyond the Crack Generation: Surviving A Trauma Organized Culture is currently circulating in the higher education curriculum and was written for anyone who is passionate about youth engagement, violence intervention, urban education, and juvenile justice.
