PROF. SIR MANUEL FREIRE-GARABAL HONORED BY NOBLE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY AS DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA

USA, OCT 4, 2020, ZEXPRWIRE , Prof. Freire-Garabal has been awarded as Doctor Honoris Causa in Environmental Peace by Noble International University at the age of 25.

Noble International University (United States) is an accredited university in the United States founded by two professors at the University of Toronto and it was developed under the aegis of various Nobel prizes. It has centers in America and around the world. Its objective is to continue developing international teaching and research in the environment, peace and international cooperation.

Prof. Freire-Garabal’s Doctorate Honoris Causa was approved on May 19, 2019, to be held at the Faculty Club of the University of Toronto (Canada). Due to the pandemic circumstances, it had to be stored temporarily online under the strong support of Lead India Foundation USA, chaired by Dr. Hari Eppanapally, former Vice President of the Bank of New York Mellon.

The appointment was presented by Prof. Dr. Biswajit Ganguly (Chancellor) and Prof. Dr. Roger Hansell (President) of Noble International University. Both professors have been professors at universities such as the University of Toronto, Harvard, Oxford, or MIT. Additionally, Prof. Ganguly is President of the Noble Institution for Environmental Peace (NIEP), which has special consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in which Professor Ganguly was invited as a member of the Steering Committee.

H.E. Prof. Sir Manuel Freire-Garabal y Núñez PhD.H., FRAS, FRSA, FRAI holds a Bachelor’s in Law (LLB) from the University of A Coruña, he is a Graduated in Journalism from the National Association of Journalists of Cuba, he has an MBA in International Management from the European University and he has more than 300 courses from universities such as Wharton, MIT, Harvard, INSEAD, Yale, or Columbia. He has also been awarded two Honorary Doctorates.

As a student, he began in the field of research, at which time he began to join various academies and received more than twenty international awards.

Currently, he works in higher education at the university as Associate Professor and Vice President of Communications at ASEAN University International, as Visiting Professor and Advisor to the Pranab Mukherjee Presidential Chair in Sustainable Development, Research, Skills Development and Education at ICFAI University, as well as Advisor from the IIC University and the City University Group.

Contributes to education in official media at universities such as Harvard, Yale, Berkeley, University of Southern California, Indiana University or Oregon University; in press such as MSNBC, The Times of India and The Economic Times; or companies like Microsoft on the Education website.

His higher education efforts have been developed in his own project, Al-Khalifa Business School, one of the fastest-growing internationally accredited learning institutes since its founding in 2019, supported by some of the largest Family Offices and UHNWI based in the Middle East.
He is an elected fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society, the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Anthropological Institute of the United Kingdom. He has been knighted and honored by different churches, religions and representatives for his service to monarchs and heads of countries.
In 2020 he was appointed a Commissioned Kentucky Colonel, the highest honorary title bestowed by the Governor and the Secretary of State to recognize his remarkable accomplishments, contributions to Kentucky society, notable deeds, and outstanding service to a community, state, and the nation.

He is an advisor to some Princes and Royal Houses, as well as an Honorary Ambassador of different organizations related to the United Nations. Since July 2018, he is the President of the Privy Council of H.H. Prince Mahmoud Salah Al-Din Assaf, one of the oldest Royal Families in the Middle East.

Since 2019, he has been a contributor of Le Monde and Le Figaro. He published eight books at the age of 24 and has been featured and interviewed as an author in media such as Forbes, Cosmo, CNBC, CBS, ABC, or Fox News.

As a philanthropist, he is considered one of the most prominent Middle East supporters since he received the “Best Human Leader of 2017” award from the Iraqi National Refugee Centers. As mentioned in Cosmo Chic magazine, he was considered one of the Top 250 Middle Eastern Influencers in 2019.

He was included by PALEDEC in the 2020 100 Pan African Change-Makers for his tremendous contributions to the development of education in Africa, primarily through the $ 1 quality education for 200,000 people daily.
